VP Product Management, Teaching and Learning (OnCourse)

Clarivate is seeking a Vice President, Teaching & Learning to shape and scale onCourse, our AI-native platform designed to help higher education institutions transform teaching, learning, curriculum intelligence, and student success. This is a high-impact opportunity for a product-led, commercially minded executive to build a new growth business by pairing deep higher education market expertise with Clarivate’s trusted university relationships, differentiated content and data assets, global commercial reach, and scale.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments10+ years of leadership experience in higher education technology, enterprise edtech, digital learning, curriculum technology, SaaS, or a closely related market.5+ years of experience leading product management, product strategy, business unit, or general management functions.Demonstrated experience launching, building, repositioning, or scaling a software product, product line, platform, or new venture.Experience owning or contributing to product strategy, roadmap prioritization, pricing, go-to-market planning, pipeline development, or sales enablement.Experience working directly with higher education institutions, university leaders, enterprise customers, strategic partners, design partners, or early adopters.Experience leading cross-functional teams across product management, product marketing, sales, technology, finance, operations, or customer-facing functions.It would be great if you also have . . .Business-unit, general management, founder, or startup leadership experience.Experience taking a business from early validation to meaningful commercial scale.Familiarity with AI-enabled teaching and learning, curriculum intelligence, learning analytics, or emerging education platforms.Strong understanding of institutional buying, enterprise sales cycles, customer adoption, implementation realities, and commercial execution.Established relationships and credibility across the higher education market, including a network of institutional leaders, partners, influencers, or potential early adopters.Ability to influence investment decisions, align senior stakeholders, and communicate clearly with executives, customers, partners, and internal teams.What will you be doing in this role?Own the business strategy, product direction, market development, commercialization, customer adoption, and revenue growth for onCourse and related Teaching & Learning opportunities.Define market focus, customer segments, value proposition, growth model, investment priorities, and the path from launch to repeatable adoption and revenue scale.Set product vision and roadmap priorities in partnership with Technology, grounded in customer needs, market opportunity, and commercial goals.Lead customer discovery, design partner engagement, and product-market fit validation to focus on capabilities that drive adoption.Own the revenue plan, go-to-market approach, pricing, pipeline strategy, and sales enablement model in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Technology.Develop executive relationships with universities, design partners, early adopters, and strategic prospects to accelerate validation, pipeline creation, and market credibility.Drive pipeline creation, deal progression, customer conversion, and predictable commercial performance.Lead an integrated team across sales, product management, and product marketing while partnering closely with technology, content, AI, finance, and operations.Align senior leaders around the business case, market opportunity, investment needs, and path to growth.About the TeamThe Teaching & Learning business is focused on creating AI-powered solutions that help higher education institutions improve teaching, learning, curriculum intelligence, adoption, and student success. This role will work closely with leaders and teams across product management, product marketing, sales, technology, content, AI, finance, and operations to bring onCourse and related opportunities to market.Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
