You’ll play a pivotal role in managing service operations, fostering team engagement, and supporting business growth while upholding BGIS’s commitment to innovation, safety, and compliance.Key Responsibilities People LeadershipLead, mentor, and develop a team of service technicians, fostering engagement, performance, and retention.Oversee hiring, performance evaluations, and compensation recommendations.Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to enhance team performance.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards through training, toolbox talks, and incident monitoring.Support team members with expert problem-solving and guidance.Contribute to company-wide initiatives as needed.Regional Operations ManagementOversee dispatch functions, assigning repair tickets and projects to technicians for timely, high-quality completion.Schedule and manage preventative maintenance and service tasks.Review service and repair invoices for accuracy and efficiency.Manage operational budgets, optimizing costs and resource utilization.Collaborate with stakeholders to refine processes and implement standard operating procedures.Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and service level agreements.Drive operational efficiencies by analyzing work volume and developing corrective solutions.Work cross-functionally to deliver specialized support and seamless service.Resolve operational issues with urgency to exceed client expectations.Manage inventory to support service delivery.What You Bring Required Knowledge & SkillsO6A HVAC/Refrigeration specialty license (Required) EPA Universal Certification (Section 608) (Required) Associate degree, equivalent training, or relevant work experience.Minimum of 5 years in a similar role with supervisory or management experience leading a team of technicians.In-depth knowledge, Skills, & Abilities of commercial HVAC service.Proficient in servicing, installing, and troubleshooting: Commercial HVAC systemsRefrigeration systems and ice machinesChillers, cooling towers, water source heat pumpsBuilding Automation Systems or Building Management Systems Strong customer service and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyFamiliarity with light commercial equipmentExperience with industry software (e.g., ServiceTitan, FastField, ServiceChannel – preferred but not required)Strong leadership skills to engage and motivate teams to achieve goals.Excellent communication skills, including influencing, negotiating, and client-facing interactions.Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams, clients, and vendors.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related computer applications.Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and manage independently.Licenses & CertificationsCertification or additional training in a relevant specialty is a plus.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentAbility and willingness to travel frequently for meetings and job visits (reimbursement provided).Valid driver’s license and access to personal transportation for work-related travel.Reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals with disabilities.Up to 25% of travel in assigned area of operation.Join Us Today!At BGIS, you’ll find a supportive environment where your leadership can shape the future of our operations and inspire a team to deliver exceptional results.
