DutiesPerforms analysis of foreign assistance budgets using extensive knowledge of foreign policy goals in the Western Hemisphere and current trends infederal budgeting.Participates in interagency working groups and meetings and makes recommendations to management on new techniques, policies, or program management approaches that will assist in achieving foreign assistance program goalsProvides policy, programmatic, and technical advice and guidance to colleagues in the Bureau and in WHA diplomatic missions overseas on foreign assistance planning and execution for the WHA.Provides oral and written briefings and briefing materials to top management officials and serves as liaison with key bureau staff and with counterparts and experts in other bureaus and USG agencies.Coordinates on appropriations advocacy for foreign assistance with State Department Bureaus and advises on appropriations-related outreach strategies.
