Billing Specialist

Our company is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional services and maintaining a positive work environment. As a Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of claims, payments, and reports. Your expertise will contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities

Review and correct claims rejected for errors before submitting to the payer for reimbursement
Receive EOBs, research causes for denials, and resubmit corrected claims
Process all remittances (manual and electronic pay) and post to appropriate accounts
Contact insurance companies regarding delinquent accounts
Assist with generating daily, weekly, and monthly reports
Stay informed of changes to systems from funding sources, Medicaid, and/or the State, and communicate the changes to proper departments
Handle confidential information and abide by HIPAA laws and other medical policies
Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided
Perform additional tasks related to billing as needed

Qualifications

High school diploma required, higher education preferred
Minimum of 2 years billing experience preferred
Ability to learn quickly
Extreme attention to detail
Ability to be productive without constant oversight
Excellent interpersonal skills
Basic understanding of office software and machinery
