Remote Accounts Payable Clerk

Accounts Payable ClerkWe're seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will process invoices, manage vendor payments, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate financial records.The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working independently, and communicates effectively with both internal teams and external vendors. Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers are essential.ResponsibilitiesReview and verify incoming invoices for accuracy and completenessMatch invoices with purchase orders, receipts, and other supporting documentationEnter invoices into the accounting system with appropriate account and expense codesMonitor payment terms to ensure timely processing and paymentsIdentify and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies with vendors and internal departmentsProcess outgoing payments via checks, ACH/electronic transfers, credit cards, and other approved methodsReconcile vendor statements and accounts payable records to ensure accurate balancesMaintain organized, complete records of invoices, payments, and supporting documentationAssist with weekly, monthly, and quarterly accounts payable reportsFollow company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsProtect confidential financial and vendor informationCommunicate professionally with vendors and internal teams regarding payment status and account inquiriesIdentify opportunities to improve and streamline accounts payable processesPerform other accounting and administrative duties as assignedRequirements2+ years of experience in accounts payable or similar accounting rolesHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferredCAPA or other relevant accounting certification is a plusExperience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platformsProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelWorking knowledge of basic accounting principles and accounts payable proceduresStrong mathematical, analytical, and data-entry skillsExceptional attention to detail and accuracyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and time-management abilitiesAbility to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environmentComfortable collaborating via email, video meetings, chat, and other remote work toolsAbility to handle confidential financial information with discretionWhat We're Looking ForWe want a candidate who takes ownership, follows through on deadlines, and is committed to accuracy.
