Technical Support Specialist

Gearfire is hiring a Technology Support Specialists to support firearms and outdoor sports retailers across the country. This role is ideal for someone with a strong customer service mindset and technical aptitude — more support/help desk than deeply technical IT. At Gearfire, we support over 2,000 retailers nationwide with industry-leading eCommerce, Point of Sale, and merchant services solutions. We’re looking for teammates who are dependable, collaborative, and bring a little personality to the team. What you’ll do In this role, you’ll help retailers resolve day-to-day issues, guide them through questions over the phone and remotely, document cases clearly, and escalat more complex issues when needed. You’ll also support software installs, assist with retailer training, and work closely with teammates to deliver a great customer experience. What we’re looking for We’re looking for someone who is friendly, adaptable, and confident communicating with customers. The right person knows how to make people feel taken care of, even when solving a problem. You should be comfortable handling a high volume of support requests, staying organized, and learning new systems quickly. Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years of experience in customer support, help desk, or software support. Experience with commercial software, PCs, peripherals, and basic networking is helpful. Retail industry experience is a plus. An A.A.S. in Computer Programming or Networking is preferred, but strong customer-facing experience and technical aptitude matter most.
