Assist administration, students, teachers, staff, parents, and visitors in any way necessary. Essential duties and responsibilities include being dependable, using good judgment, being organized, showing initiative, producing high quality work performance, maintaining proper professional relationships, presenting a positive image for school/district, responding positively to supervision, and safeguarding confidentiality. Other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor include distributing information, maintaining records, processing purchase orders, maintaining files, maintaining schedules, maintaining inventory, enrolling or withdrawing students, processing lunch forms, maintaining financial information, processing student insurance, completing reports, maintaining student files, verifying absences, following district policies, engaging in self-development, meeting deadlines, distributing mail, and processing transportation requests.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, experience as a secretary or office assistant, knowledge of basic office procedures, knowledge and skills of computer function and operation, typing, accounting, phone systems, and effective interpersonal relationships with public and staff. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, lifting, moving about the room or school, carrying, reaching, squatting, kneeling, prolonged typing, and moving light furniture. Work environment includes various degrees of noise, temperature, and air quality, with interruptions of work being routine. Flexibility and patience are required, and self-motivation is necessary to complete job assignments without direct supervision. After-hour work may be required.
