Controller

Chesapeake Search Partners is supporting a growing organization that is looking to add an experienced Controller to its accounting function. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys owning the full accounting cycle, strengthening processes, and driving accuracy and consistency across the department as the business continues to expand. Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including billing, AR/AP, GL, revenue recognition, and project accounting (including POC/WIP reporting where applicable) Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including the timely preparation and issuance of financial statements Support budgeting and forecasting efforts, analyze variances, and track performance against budgets Establish and maintain internal controls to protect assets and ensure accurate financial reporting Perform financial analysis, including consolidations and key operating metrics, to support strategic decision-making Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and overall cost effectiveness Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience) Multi-entity experience required Construction, project-based, or cost accounting experience strongly preferred 7+ years of progressive accounting experience Highly organized with strong attention to detail #J-18808-Ljbffr Chesapeake Search Partners
