Physician Assistant, PT, Orthopedics - Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center

Responsibilities Evaluates patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, gathers patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Administers or orders diagnostic tests such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests and interprets test results. Performs treatment procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and manages infection. Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care. Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Bachelor of Science Degree. Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant studies or related field. Valid NJ Physician Assistant license. American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) Certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
