Restaurant Host

We are looking for a Host, or Greeter, who will be responsible for welcoming guests to the restaurant and ensuring that they are seated and receive attentive service. Their duties include maintaining a waitlist of patrons during busy meal service, passing out menus and accepting phone calls. Ultimately, you will ensure our daily operations run smoothly and our guests have a pleasant dining experience. Duties/Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following): Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area Inform guests of current promotions and ensure a smooth handoff to service staff Observe guests’ needs throughout dining experience to ensure they receive high quality service Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff Answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties Perform general cleaning duties throughout shift and at closing Skills/Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Prior customer service experience in the hospitality industry a plus Positive attitude and interpersonal skills Good communication skills and phone etiquette Flexibility when working alternating shifts Ability to stand for long periods of time Must walk and stand during the entire shift Must be able to read and write English Must be able to hear well in an environment with loud background noise Health & Safety Precautions: At TGI Fridays we strive to operate a safe and sanitary environment for both staff and guests alike, therefore all team members must abide by company mandated health guidelines, protocols and requirements.
