Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description

Based in Fairfield, CT, join HMD's driver-focused team as an OTR solo CDL-A Dry Van operator on nationwide routes. You'll run consistent long-haul trips with dependable freight assignments.

What you’ll do:

• Drive modern dry van tractors (under 3 years) equipped with APUs, inverters, and sleepers for cross-country OTR service.
• Deliver freight safely and on schedule while complying with federal and company regulations.
• Keep precise logs, conduct inspections, and complete electronic trip paperwork.

Requirements & pay:

• Valid CDL-A and a minimum of 12 months verifiable experience required.
• Starting pay at 65¢/mile with weekly averages around 2,500 miles and bonuses for safe driving, clean inspections, and referrals.
• Home approximately every two weeks, plus access to in-house maintenance and full benefits (health, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k)).
