Ludico is an exciting new restaurant conceapt from Tribeca Hospitality Group, bringing together fresh, vibrant, and transportive European flavors in an elevated yet approachable dining experience.

We are seeking hardworking, dependable, and team-oriented Dishwashers / Porters to join our opening culinary team. This essential role supports every department of the restaurant by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization. The Dishwasher / Porter is a vital member of the culinary team, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and safely throughout every shift.

The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and thrives in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

Position Summary

The Dishwasher / Porter is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen equipment, dishes, cookware, utensils, glassware, and service items while maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen work areas, storage spaces, and back-of-house facilities. This position works closely with the culinary and stewarding teams to ensure the restaurant is fully operational and service-ready.

Dishwashing & Stewarding Operations

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, kitchen utensils, and small wares.
• Ensure all service items are cleaned, inspected, and ready for use.
• Assist with the cleaning of kitchen equipment, shelving, racks, and storage areas.
• Maintain clean dish stations and ensure a continuous flow of clean equipment during service.
• Organize and properly store all cleaned kitchen equipment and service ware.

Porter & Facility Maintenance

• Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness throughout all back-of-house areas.
• Empty trash and recycling throughout the restaurant and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Clean floors, walls, drains, walk-in refrigerators, freezers, storage rooms, and receiving areas.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects and scheduled cleaning assignments.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals and follow all sanitation procedures.
• Report maintenance concerns, broken equipment, or safety hazards promptly.

Teamwork & Professionalism

• Support chefs and culinary team members with operational needs throughout the shift.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and transporting products as directed.
• Work collaboratively with all front-of-house and back-of-house departments.
• Maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to assist wherever needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Food Safety & Compliance

• Follow all Department of Health regulations and company sanitation standards.
• Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and HACCP procedures throughout each shift.
• Properly handle and store chemicals according to safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and follow all workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, stewarding, dishwashing, janitorial, or porter experience preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Professional attitude and willingness to learn.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds safely.
• Must have the ability to frequently move throughout multiple levels of the restaurant, including going up and down stairs while transporting equipment, supplies, and waste materials.
