This 100-bed hospital is seeking a full-time, permanent MLT for the night shift (3x12s: 7:00pm-7:00am).
\n\n
QUALIFICATIONS
\n- Associate’s degree in Medical Technology or related science
\n- Must be able to collect blood specimens and chain of custody specimens according to policy
\n- Certification as a medical laboratory technician preferred
\n\n
DESCRIPTION
\n- Performs procedures including patient testing, operation and maintenance of clinical laboratory equipment and quality control procedures for all essential assays in the laboratory.
\n- Uses the laboratory information system to register patients, enter test orders, result tests and report test results to providers.
\n- Collects blood specimens from patients of all ages by venipuncture or capillary puncture.
\n- Collects chain of custody specimens according to policy and regulations.
