Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year in Emergency Department or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility License: Current RN License in the state of Missouri Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS from AHA, TNCC, NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) Must-Have Skills/Experience: 1 year in Emergency Department or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The role involves providing direct patient care activities for all age groups. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The nurse will monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort. Clinical expertise and demonstrated skill in human relations and communication are required. Maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of patient information is essential. The position requires standing and walking most of the time on duty. The nurse must be able to lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. The work environment is typically clean and air-conditioned. Physical demands involve lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing, pulling, gripping, and minimal kneeling or crawling.
