About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ years in Emergency Department License: Current RN License in state of practice Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS from AHA only; TNCC; NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) Must-Have Skills/Experience: 1 year Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility. Experience must be indicated on the resume. Description: This position involves providing direct patient care for individuals of all age groups. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The role also involves monitoring and coordinating patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize care and comfort. As an RN, you will function within the scope of nursing preparation and adhere to established guidelines of nursing practice. You will maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers. Collaboration with other departments is essential to ensure comprehensive patient care. It is important to uphold patient rights and confidentiality throughout all patient interactions. This role requires strong clinical expertise and demonstrated skill in human relations and communication. Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and pushing patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs, and performing various physical tasks. Candidates should be adaptable and capable of working in a busy, high-acuity environment. Experience in trauma and pediatrics, as well as managing high volumes of patients, is preferred. The facility features a busy urban trauma center with a primary focus on providing high-quality care and patient satisfaction. Flexibility in scheduling is required, with weekend hours as needed.
