The General Laborer position is responsible for the movement of inventory both to and from the property. This includes actively communicating with all departments to ensure all general maintenance is performed routinely. Knowledge of products and locations will be utilized when assisting and engaging with customers to provide an outstanding customer experience.

Assisting in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks

Check and validate packing slips and truck logs when supporting the movement and replacement of inventory on the property

Communicate with team members to assist customers with questions and inquiries by providing strong product knowledge and location

Improve and maintain presentation of inventory, including deadheading and watering of live inventory

Accept any assignment on the general floor to improve the maintenance and housekeeping of the property

Work or personal experience in the retail, horticultural, or gardening fields preferred. A demonstrated ability to offer excellent customer service skills, and strong verbal communication skills.

This job operates in an active retail store environment. This job may be either indoors or outdoors or both.

This position requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and / or crawling. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Flexible hours. Days and hours of work vary by schedule and season. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
