Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• ASN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, Flexi-Seal, Foley insertion/management), and PCA pumps. Medication gtt management including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IVF.

Required Credentials: ASN / BSN

Special Requests: RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Unit Details: Emergency observation unit caring for patients with chest pain, syncope, and angina. Uses Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing. Parking: Free Employee Parking Deck

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. Shift times: 1850-0710. Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks. No call.

Floating Requirements: Within region and scope of practice. Will be required to float per region needs to Region 1 facilities as needed: Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only)). If floating mid-shift, traveler will remain on the clock while traveling between facilities.

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
