Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantOur client is seeking a Staff Accountant to support a broad range of accounting and financial operations. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes. The role offers exposure to multiple areas of accounting, including transactional accounting, reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting, while providing opportunities to learn new systems and support process improvements.This role offers exposure to a variety of accounting responsibilities and is well suited for a professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment with opportunities to contribute across multiple areas of the accounting function. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to maintaining accurate financial records while supporting ongoing process improvements and operational efficiency.What You'll DoManage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.Generate and process customer invoices while ensuring accurate recordkeeping.Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.Support financial statement preparation and reporting activities.Monitor and maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy and timely reporting.Assist with inventory accounting activities as needed.Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner.Support audit, tax, and compliance-related requests.Contribute to process improvements and accounting best practices.Assist with accounting system enhancements and ongoing optimization efforts.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.2+ years of accounting experience.Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.Inventory accounting experience is a plus.Experience working within a fast-paced business environment preferred.Familiarity with QuickBooks, Peachtree/Sage, or other accounting/ERP systems.Strong Microsoft Excel skills.Comfortable learning new technologies and software platforms.Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.Ferretti Search is an award-winning Recruitment Firm specializing in Executive Recruiting and Staffing.
