Senior Accountant

A growing professional services organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team immediately. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside the current employee during a two-week transition period, ensuring a smooth onboarding and knowledge transfer process.

The company is prioritizing candidates who can start quickly and is open to temporary, temp-to-hire, or direct-hire arrangements.

Responsibilities

Accounting

• Manage accounting functions across multiple entities
• Prepare and review Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets
• Support month-end close and financial reporting
• Assist with budgeting activities
• Process payroll
• Handle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and collections
• Support audit preparation and reporting requirements

Billing & Client Accounting

• Manage specialized billing processes
• Support direct-bill client accounts
• Review accounting data used for billing activities
• Assist with client invoicing and account reconciliations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with:
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Collections
  • Payroll processing
  • Month-end reporting
  • Budgeting
  • P&L and Balance Sheet preparation
• QuickBooks experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-entity accounting experience
• Legal billing experience
• Escrow accounting experience
• Title industry experience
• Experience with consolidated financial reporting

Software Experience

• QuickBooks Online
• CaseAware (preferred)
• Qualia (preferred)
• Billing platforms

Schedule & Environment

• Flexible start times between 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM
• Standard 8-hour workday
• Business casual dress code
• Jeans permitted
