Commercial Litigation & Foreclosure Associate Attorney

*SettlePou is seeking a motivated associate attorney to join its Commercial Litigation and Foreclosure practice. The ideal candidate will have experience representing financial institutions, loan servicers, and investors in the default services matters. *

*Responsibilities*

*Manage a docket of commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.*

*Represent lenders, loan servicers, and investors in judicial and non-judicial foreclosure proceedings.*

*Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery requests and responses, appellate briefs, and other litigation documents.*

*Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex commercial and real estate issues.*

*Handle depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials, as appropriate.*

*Advise clients regarding loan enforcement, foreclosure strategy, creditors’ rights, title disputes, receiverships, and related real estate matters.*

*Communicate directly with clients to provide strategic legal advice and case updates.*

*Work collaboratively with partners and other attorneys while managing matters independently.*

*Qualifications*

*J.D. from an accredited law school.*

*Active license to practice law in Texas.*

*3+ years of commercial litigation experience, with foreclosure, creditors’ rights, or real estate litigation experience preferred.*

*Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.*

*Experience drafting substantive motions is preferred.*

*Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.*

*Excellent organizational, analytical, and client communication skills.*
