About the Role The Manager, Transportation is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of raw materials and finished goods across KINA’s manufacturing and distribution network. The role leads transportation planning, manages inbound and outbound freight operations, and partners with key stakeholders to ensure service performance, cost control, compliance, and continuous improvement across logistics operations. Responsibilities Lead inbound and outbound transportation operations across all KINA locations. Develop and execute transportation strategies that improve service, cost, utilization, and delivery performance. Manage carrier selection, contract administration, rate negotiations, and carrier performance. Ensure timely delivery of products to customers, distribution centers, and project sites. Align transportation planning with production schedules, warehouse capacity, inventory flow, and customer demand. Monitor freight spend, budgets, and cost drivers; identify and implement savings opportunities. Track and improve key transportation metrics, including on-time delivery, load optimization, damage rates, lead times, and freight cost per unit. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety requirements, environmental standards, and internal policies. Resolve freight claims, delivery issues, service failures, and corrective actions in partnership with carriers and internal stakeholders. Support network design, route optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Leverage transportation management systems, reporting tools, and data analytics to improve visibility and decision-making. Lead, coach, and develop the transportation team while promoting a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
