Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics using a blend of standardized tests and observational methods.
Craft tailored treatment plans that align with immediate and eventual communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions targeted at enhancing communication, language, fluency, and swallowing capabilities.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, and physicians, to create seamless care strategies.
Educate patients and their families to support their progress beyond clinical sessions.
Assist with speech therapy evaluations and interventions for inpatients, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout their treatment journey.
Maintain precise and timely documentation that adheres to all relevant guidelines, both state and federal.
Stay updated with advancements in the discipline by engaging in ongoing education and peer collaboration.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those yet to be ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in employing evidence-based treatment methodologies suitable for all age groups, coupled with an extensive understanding of developmental and acquired disorders.
Impeccable interpersonal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and care teams.
Capability to modify therapy techniques in response to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical judgment coupled with effective problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in electronic medical records and documentation practices.
