Communications Assistant

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is hiring a Communications Assistant to support the North Carolina Botanical Garden's communications efforts. The role involves creating graphics, managing social media and website updates, producing print and digital publications, writing content, and assisting with photography including events and specific plants. Creates graphics and digital and print materials such as flyers and signage. Assists with social media management and website updates. Writes articles and various content pieces. Helps with photography covering events, garden scenes, and plants. Requires valid driving ability; a driving record check is conducted. Must have a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience from accredited institutions. Preferred skills include social media post creation, Adobe Creative Suite familiarity, photography, graphic design, and journalism. Position is part‑time, temporary (20 hours/week), with flexible scheduling and a pay range of $16.00 to $20.00 per hour.
