The unit has a diverse variety of patient diagnoses outside cardiac care and sees quick patient turnover, with length of stay averaging six days.**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*** Performs specific leadership functions related to clinical practice, education and/or management as delegated by and in collaboration with the Nurse Manager* Assumes staff assignments and preceptor responsibility* Provides leadership for unit and departmental activities that promote delivery of quality nursing care, effective problem solving and communication, and continued professional development for self and others**REQUIREMENTS*** Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; applicable experience may substitute for education.* Charge nurse experience, preceptor experience and/or leadership experience* Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington* Current or recent med-surg nursing experience.**ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-MONTLAKE**UW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
