Room Attendant

Hotel Housekeeping Position 226 rooms | 12,643 sq. ft. meeting/event space Amenities: complimentary shuttle to and from SeaWorld, multiple on-site dining options, pet friendly rooms, fitness center, outdoor games and activities. Our Hill Country hotel is just five minutes from SeaWorld San Antonio and under 20 minutes from the River Walk and Lackland Air Force Base. Featuring three heated outdoor pools, a whirlpool, cornhole, and giant table games, along with flexible on-site dining options, the property offers a resort-style experience. It provides an engaging environment for hospitality professionals focused on creating exceptional guest experiences and leisure operations. Maintain cleanliness standards of the hotel in all guest rooms, back of house and public areas. Clean to the hotel standards in all guest rooms and areas of the hotel. Communicate to supervisor, housekeeping manager or general manager when recovering any and all lost and found items. Effectively work with team members to accomplish assigned tasks each day. Greet each guest that you encounter in the hallways, lobby or public areas with "Good Morning" or "Good Afternoon" or "Good Evening". Follow procedures for entering and leaving guest rooms. Maintain control of keys issued to perform assigned duties Turn in keys and communication devices to the Housekeeping Department when shift ends. Follow all instructions when filling spray bottles with cleaning chemicals; never mix chemicals. Properly handle all equipment and cleaning chemicals (i.e. washer, dryer, detergents etc.) Work in a safe manner to prevent injury to yourself, other staff members or our valued guests. Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage closets, guest laundry areas and corridors. Watch for safety hazards and report them immediately to your Department Supervisor. Observe all safety policies and procedures during the execution of assigned duties. Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready for work. Work efficiently and as part of the team. Support environmental commitments by having the knowledge, skills and values to be a leader in the global goal of "greening" the hospitality industry. Minimum Requirements High school graduate or equivalent. 2 years similar experience in a similar environment. Organizational and time management skills. Must be able to give and receive information clearly. Detail oriented as it pertains to accuracy and efficiency. Ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places. Observe conditions, detect odors, position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs. in tight spaces. Operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters. Lift, carry and position loads of at least 25lbs. These abilities are required for an entire shift. Ability to work as part of the team.
