This role focuses on teaching essential independent living skills, supporting daily routines, and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of participants in their homes and throughout the community./ppCLIs play a vital role in helping participants build confidence, independence, and meaningful community connections./ph2Key Responsibilities/h2h3Direct Support Instruction/h3ulliProvide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their homes and community settings./liliTeach and reinforce independent living skills, including:/liulliPersonal hygiene and self-care/liliMeal preparation and nutrition/liliHousehold tasks (cleaning, laundry, organization)/liliTime management and daily routines/li/ulliSupport participants in developing social, communication, and self-advocacy skills./li/ulh3Community Integration/h3ulliAssist individuals with community activities such as:/liulliShopping and errands/liliMedical or personal appointments/liliRecreational and social outings/liliPublic transportation training (as applicable)/li/ulliEncourage participation in community life while promoting independence and safety./li/ulh3Health, Safety Well-Being/h3ulliMonitor participant safety at all times and follow individualized support plans./liliAssist with medication reminders and documentation (as permitted and trained)./liliObserve and report changes in behavior, health, or emotional well-being to supervisors./liliImplement basic behavior support strategies and de-escalation techniques as trained./li/ulh3Documentation Communication/h3ulliComplete accurate and timely documentation, including:/liulliDaily service notes/liliIncident reports (when applicable)/liliProgress updates related to goals/li/ulliCommunicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and families as appropriate./liliFollow all agency policies, confidentiality standards, and state/regional center regulations./li/ulh3Professional Expectations/h3ulliAttend required trainings and team meetings./liliMaintain professionalism, reliability, and punctuality./liliUphold a respectful, patient, and person-centered approach at all times./li/ulh2Qualifications/h2h3Minimum Requirements/h3ulli18 years of age or older/liliDrug Screening/liliCPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire)/liliNegative TB test/liliDepartment of Justice fingerprint clearance (prior to employment)/liliGenuine passion for caregiving and supporting individuals with disabilities/li/ulh3Training Provided/h3ulliNo prior experience required/liliMandatory paid training will be provided before working independently with participants/liliOngoing support and supervision available/li/ulp$16.90 per hour/ph2Why Join A Bright Future?/h2ulliMeaningful, purpose-driven work/liliHands-on training and professional development/liliSupportive team environment/liliOpportunity to make a real difference in someones life every day/li/ulpIf youre ready to lead with compassion and help build a brighter future for otherswed love to meet you./p/div
