TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28204!

Job Opportunity – Neuro ICU Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required. Float requirement applies. No call coverage.

Highlights:

• Comprehensive Stroke Center specializing in acute neurological care with a diverse patient population including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, craniotomies, carotid interventions, aneurysm management, and seizure disorders
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 2:1 (may flex to 3:1 during high census); average daily census 11-12 patients
• Advanced neuro equipment including EVDs, lumbar drains, Camino ICP monitoring, LICOX, NICOM, and Arctic Sun therapeutic hypothermia systems
• Epic EMR with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Contract lengths of 16+ weeks available through February 27, 2027
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and lift teams

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required (general ICU experience does not qualify)
• Strong stroke patient management experience essential – stroke patients represent the largest patient population
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Proficiency in ventilator management, IV starts, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central line care, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, EVD and lumbar drain management, ICP monitoring, post-neurosurgery care, and isolation precautions
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must successfully pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Completion of 24 hours unit orientation (2 shifts)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Arterial line management experience
