Accounting Clerk

Job Title

You will contribute to the success of our accounting department by ensuring our customers are being billed timely and accurately and the company's bills are paid timely and accurately.

Key Sub Tasks

• Review jobs from prior day for accuracy.
• Find and fix any errors from jobs prior day.
• Follow up on open jobs where payment was not collected from prior day.
• Deposit funds for check, credit card, and cash payments.
• Follow collection process and collect on open jobs not paid.
• Maintain accuracy of accounts receivable and customer accounts.
• Ensure jobs are closed and accounted for in the correct period.
• Enter and pay bills timely and accurately.
• Reconcile supplier statements for accuracy.
• Enter all credit card transactions and reconcile credit card statements monthly.
• Weekly check runs.
• Submit rebates to suppliers.

Desired Skills and Experience

• One (1) year experience in accounting with experience in accounts receivable and/or accounts payable strongly desired.
