An exciting opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to support students in a school setting near Lynn, MA. This part-time contract role begins as soon as possible and continues through March 2026, with the potential for extension following a discussion in March (though extension is not guaranteed). The schedule offers flexibility, with 10–15 hours per week, and the district is open to accommodating your preferred age group and school assignment.

You’ll collaborate with the district’s current Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, whose caseload has grown beyond capacity. You will have the opportunity to discuss and shape your own caseload directly with the district, ensuring a role that aligns with your strengths and interests.

Qualifications:

• Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing certification required
• Experience working in school environments with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Ability to adapt lessons and communication methods to student needs
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Flexibility in working with different age groups and school sites

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Partner with the district’s current TOD to share and manage caseload responsibilities
• Develop and adapt teaching materials and resources
• Participate in IEP development, meetings, and progress monitoring
• Offer strategies and support to school staff and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and student records
