Our client in Hudson County, NJ is seeking an experienced HRBP professional to support a fast-paced, operational environment. This role partners closely with leadership to drive recruiting, employee relations, compliance, and performance management initiatives across hourly and salaried populations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead full-cycle recruiting using creative and traditional sourcing strategies (job fairs, postings, outreach).
- Partner with plant and operations leaders on workforce planning, staffing, and organizational effectiveness.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, coaching leaders and resolving issues consistently and fairly.
- Support performance management, skills development, succession planning, and change management initiatives.
- Oversee onboarding, new hire orientation, and HR administration (payroll support, benefits, 401(k), workers' comp, FMLA/ADA, OSHA).
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws (EEO, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, AAP).
- Use HR metrics to drive improvements in engagement, retention, and workforce stability.
- Maintain highly confidential employee records with discretion and accuracy.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, high-performance workplace culture.
- Bachelor's degree required (HR, Business, or related field).
- SHRM certification required.
- 3-5 years of progressive HR experience; manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices.
- ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS experience required.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
