Job Details Specialty: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Charlottesville, VA 22908 Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract Start Date: 9/28/2026 Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890 Orientation: 36 hours Schedule Highlights: Every other weekend and every other holiday Floating/Cross-Training: Mother/Baby and NICU feeder/grower support Job Requirements Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience Active RN license; pending license accepted with license in hand by the Wednesday before the start date Current BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications Epic experience required Ability to work confidently in a high-acuity maternity and women’s health setting Comfortable floating within scope of practice BSN preferred Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate care for antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum patients Circulate C-sections and support OB procedures as needed Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal status Assist with triage, OB PACU, high-risk labor management, and newborn assessments Support patients with complex conditions such as preeclampsia, diabetes, preterm labor, and maternal-fetal complications Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver excellent patient outcomes Cross-train and float to Mother/Baby and NICU feeder/grower assignments when needed Maintain accurate documentation and uphold best practices in a dynamic acute care environment Apply now to explore this travel RN job in Charlottesville, Virginia and join a supportive labor and delivery healthcare team today.
