Payroll Accountant

WSeeking a Senior Payroll Accountant to support payroll accounting operations within a large enterprise environment. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate general ledger entries related to payroll, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring proper accrual accounting for employee compensation, benefits, and stock activity. The Senior Payroll Accountant will take on greater ownership of complex reconciliations and provide guidance on accounting treatments KEY RESPONSIBILITI ES• Handle payroll accounting, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and GL entri es• Manage PTO/vacation reserve tracking and year-end vacation payou ts• Process cash clearing transactions and employee stock purchase reconciliatio ns• Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries to the general ledg er• Reconcile payroll accounts, including wages payable, taxes, and benefi ts• Analyze payroll variances and resolve discrepanci es• Maintain accurate payroll records for audits and regulatory purpos es• Monitor and reconcile benefit-related accoun ts• Assist with internal and external audits related to payro ll• Provide explanations to cost center owners regarding employee transactio ns• Ensure adherence to internal controls and company polici es• Identify and implement improvements to payroll process es• Support payroll system upgrades or implementatio REQUIRED QUALIFICATIO NS • 4+ years of accounting experience with direct payroll accounting responsibilities in a large enterpr ise• Strong command of GL accounting, accruals, reconciliation, and payroll-related accounting treatme nts• Advanced Excel skills — pivot tables, Power Query, financial model ing• SAP S/4HANA and Blackline experience required; ADP familiarity a p lus• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred or actively pursu ing PREFERRED QUALIFICAT IONS• Experience with ADP GlobalView and SmartCompliance in a large enterprise payroll environ ment• Blackline reconciliation platform experience strongly prefe Eight Eleven Group (DBA Calculated Hire) provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, citizenship, disability, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, amnesty or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. #J-18808-Ljbffr
