Staff Accountant

Responsible for monthly and yearly accounting close processes Review financial statements and perform account reconciliations for irregularities Analyze budgets and create expense reports Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns Assist in financial and tax audits Oversee payroll and provide backup when necessary Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses) Maintain job costing and related documentation Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders Review internal controls and address any deficiencies as needed Maintain financial data accuracy and integrity Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations Report to the Controller and work to improve financial processes Accounting Degree Required 2-5 years of accounting experience required. Familiarity with job costing, WIP reporting, and construction billing processes preferred. CPA or CPA candidate a plus Experience with construction accounting software such as Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint Vista, Foundation, CMiC, or similar systems preferred. Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; very good with spreadsheets Proficiency in MS Excel and other related MS Office products Knowledge of an accounting information system is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong organizational and communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
