What You’ll Do Payroll SME & Escalation Support Handle complex payroll questions involving garnishments, wage and hour rules, multi‑state tax, and CBA‑driven pay. Explain not just what the system calculated — but why. In‑Cycle & Post‑Cycle Analysis Review gross‑to‑net, deductions, exception reports, and headcount changes. Reconcile weekly results, prepare summary reports, and support off‑cycle and retro pay adjustments. Data Integrity & Validation Run daily cross‑system checks across integrated HR/payroll platforms. Identify and resolve dropped, duplicated, or misaligned records before each cycle. SOP Optimization & Workflow Improvement Document, refine, and streamline payroll SOPs. Identify manual steps that can be automated and partner with senior analysts to redesign workflows as systems evolve. Year‑End & Tax Support Assist with W‑2 prep, taxable wage reconciliation, payroll register balancing, and quarterly 941 reviews.
