Description

• Conduct evaluations for diverse populations including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, utilizing both assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• If you're looking for a personalized approach to therapy, provide tailored one-on-one interventions focusing on various areas including communication, language, fluency, and swallowing.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and family members, for cohesive and responsive care.
• Empower families with education to promote patient recovery outside of the therapy setting.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure comprehensive care throughout the patient's journey.
• Maintain meticulous documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards to ensure quality of care.
• Stay at the forefront of advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with colleagues.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is highly desired.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
