Description

• Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized evaluations and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans that cater to specific short- and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing preferences.
• Deliver one-on-one speech therapy interventions, focusing on aspects such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to design cohesive care strategies.
• Provide education for patients and families to promote progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Conduct occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, assuring continuity in care throughout the treatment experience.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation compliant with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Remain informed about developments in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
