Position Summary:

The Senior Director of Finance is a key finance leadership role responsible for the accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and SOX compliance activities across OP Specialty Bracing (OPSB). This position provides strategic and operational financial leadership to support business growth, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across the company's domestic and international operations.


The Senior Director of Finance will lead the Controller and International Controller and serve as the primary owner of the monthly financial close process, management reporting, annual budgeting process, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance framework. The role requires a hands-on leader who can partner effectively with executive and operational leadership while maintaining a strong control environment and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting.


Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Accounting and Close Process
• Oversee all monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close activities across OPSB entities.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and US GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
• Oversee the consolidation of domestic and international financial results.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, systems, and close-cycle efficiency.
• Ensure accounting policies and procedures remain aligned with corporate standards.
• Financial Reporting and Business Performance
• Prepare and deliver clear, decision- useful monthly management reporting packages for executive leadership.
• Analyze performance against budget, forecast, prior year, and key operational metrics.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Develop and maintain KPI reporting across manufacturing, clinical services, sales, and other business operations.
• Present financial results, drivers, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
• SOX Compliance and Internal Controls:
• Own the execution and continuous improvement of OPSB's SOX compliance program.
• Ensure the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.
• Coordinate SOX documentation and testing activities with internal and external auditors.
• Manage timely remediation plans for identified control deficiencies and monitor completion.
• Maintain appropriate process narratives, flowcharts, risk-control matrices, and supporting evidence.
• Promote a culture of compliance, accountability, and operational discipline.
• International Finance Oversight:
• Provide financial oversight of OPSB international subsidiaries and operations.
• Partner with the International Controller to ensure compliance with local statutory, tax, and reporting requirements.
• Review foreign-entity financial statements and support group consolidation activities.
• Ensure appropriate transfer-pricing, intercompany accounting, and foreign-currency processes are maintained.
• Support international expansion initiatives and the integration of acquired businesses.
• Leadership and Team Development:
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Controller and International Controller and their respective teams.
• Establish clear performance objectives, accountability, and succession plans for key finance personnel.
• Build a high-performance culture focused on accuracy, collaboration, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
• Act as a trusted business partner to leaders across manufacturing, sales, clinical services, quality, and other functions.
• Audit, Compliance, and Corporate Governance:
• Serve as a primary finance liaison for external audits, internal audits, and regulatory reviews.
• Coordinate annual financial statement audits and quarterly review procedures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support Board, Audit Committee, and executive reporting requirements as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education and Professional Credentials
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA Preferred
• Experience
• 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience preferred.
• Experience leading accounting and finance functions in a public-company environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience managing multi-entity and international operations preferred.
• Proven ownership of budgeting, forecasting, monthly close, and management reporting processes.
• Manufacturing, healthcare, medical device, or durable medical equipment experience preferred.
• Acquisition integration experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
• Strong technical accounting, financial reporting, and internal-control expertise.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and hold high-performing finance teams accountable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial-modeling capabilities.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into clear business insights for executive leadership.
• Strong systems orientation, including experience with ERP and financial reporting tools.
• Exceptional organization, judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing, and geographically diverse organization.

The pay range for this role is:

170,000 - 180,000 USD per year (Stoughton )
