Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Attorney

Position Title: Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Attorney Salary Range: $200,000 - $400,000 / DOE A respected plaintiff-side personal injury firm in Los Angeles is seeking an accomplished Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Attorney to lead its pre-litigation department and oversee high-value cases from intake through resolution. This attorney will guide Pre-Litigation Managers and Case Managers, remain closely involved in approximately 100–120 active cases valued at $250,000 or more, and ensure every matter is positioned for the strongest possible outcome. The ideal candidate is a decisive leader and personal injury expert who understands medical treatment, case valuation, government claims, settlement negotiations, and the complete lifecycle of a pre-litigation matter. Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Attorney Responsibilities Oversee the pre-litigation department, including Pre-Litigation Managers and Case Managers Manage a substantial caseload from intake through settlement or litigation referral Remain directly involved in approximately 100–120 active cases valued at $250,000 or more Evaluate prospective clients and determine whether matters meet the firm’s case acceptance standards Assess liability, damages, available insurance coverage and overall case value Guide the medical management and strategic development of personal injury cases Review medical records, billing records, police reports and supporting documentation Handle settlement negotiations with insurance carriers, opposing parties and other stakeholders Monitor statutes of limitations, government claim deadlines and other critical legal dates Draft, prepare and file pre-litigation lawsuits and legal pleadings when necessary Identify cases requiring escalation into formal litigation Advise team members on complex matters, treatment issues and case strategy Ensure files are complete, accurate and progressing according to firm standards Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments, expectations and legal strategy Collaborate with Case Managers, Medical Records Coordinators, operations leadership and litigation attorneys Maintain thorough case notes and documentation within the firm’s case management system Ensure compliance with California legal procedures, ethical obligations and internal protocols Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Attorney Requirements Active license to practice law in California At least five years of plaintiff-side pre-litigation personal injury experience Experience managing at least 100–120 high-value cases worth $250,000 or more Management experience overseeing Paralegals, Case Managers or other legal support professionals Expert knowledge of medical treatment management and the lifecycle of a personal injury case Strong client intake and case-vetting experience Advanced settlement negotiation skills Thorough understanding of statutes of limitations and calendaring requirements Knowledge of government claim procedures and applicable filing deadlines Experience handling matters involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, dog bites, wrongful death, commercial claims and government entities Ability to manage a demanding caseload, competing priorities and different working styles No current or future employment sponsorship required Preferred Qualifications Admission to practice law in an additional state Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish Experience using Filevine and HubSpot Benefits Medical insurance with a $200 monthly employer contribution Employer-paid dental and vision insurance 401(k) eligibility after 90 days Combined vacation and paid sick leave 14 paid holidays Disability coverage Pet insurance Employer-paid parking valued at approximately $220 per month Breakfast provided every Monday Access to a yoga studio in the building Performance-based compensation through a percentage of collected fees Potential long-term advancement and partnership consideration for the right attorney Modern top-floor office with expansive views Team-building events and a collaborative, family-oriented environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Boutique Recruiting
