Senior Account Executive Bodewell Group is seeking a full-time Senior Account Executive to join our San Diego team. The Senior Account Executive is responsible for executing senior management and client vision, including drafting communications and building relationships with key audiences. The role assists in business development by seeking new relationships for possible business opportunities and supports unique communications needs by developing tailored strategies and tactics that get results. Position Location and Travel: The role is located in San Diego. Offices operate on a hybrid schedule, with 3 days onsite, and travel is required up to 10‑15% of the time. This role will include early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required. Compensation The annual base amount for this position is dependent on factors including location, experience, and qualifications. A typical annual base range for this role is $70,000–$85,000, adjusted based on market conditions and local regulations. Responsibilities Assist with the planning, development, and execution of public relations, communications, and marketing initiatives across a variety of projects, including large, complex transportation programs. Support communications and stakeholder outreach for major transportation programs, ensuring consistent, clear, and timely messaging across all public‑facing channels. Coordinate closely with engineering, planning, and construction teams to translate project information, milestones, and public‑facing impacts (such as closures and traffic detours) into clear and accessible communications materials. Prepare client research, media coverage tracking, and social media monitoring. Develop and implement social media campaigns, including content development and content calendars. Manage development of collateral materials, including content creation, coordination with graphic design, and ensuring deadlines are met. Create high‑quality internal and external communications, including fact sheets, client presentations, news releases, eblasts, messaging platforms, flyers, signage, and other client deliverables. Develop and execute engagement strategies, including in‑person and digital public outreach, briefings, presentations, signage, and related materials. Develop consistent, creative, and effective media pitches. Plan, execute, and support client events, including community meetings, open houses, milestone celebrations, and other public engagement activities. Represent clients at events as needed, including staffing booths, open houses, and community engagement events. Actively seek business development opportunities by attending networking and community events, participating in professional associations, and engaging with government and business contacts. Provide guidance to and support junior staff, including interns, account coordinators, and account executives. Additional duties as required. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Public Administration or a similar field. 3+ years of experience in public relations or public outreach fields.
