Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMCU Duration: 48 hours contract Shift: Varied Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years required License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience with patients suffering from sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, TDM2, substance abuse, and encephalopathy. Experience with heparin drips is required. Description: The position involves providing nursing care in an intermediate care unit. The nurse will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1 to 4. Primary patient conditions include sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, TDM2, substance abuse, and encephalopathy. The nurse will also manage heparin drips as part of the treatment regimen. Candidates must hold a current BLS and ACLS certification and possess at least 2 years of nursing experience.
