Patient Access Supervisor Hourly Pay Range: $24.86 - $37.29 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights Position: Patient Access Supervisor Location: Swedish, Chicago Full time Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am 4:30pm Required Travel: no What You Will Do Supervise, train, and motivate a team of Patient Access Representatives, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations. Oversee the patient registration, insurance verification, and pre‑authorization processes, ensuring that they are conducted efficiently and accurately. Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and discrepancies in patient information and financial data. Foster a culture of patient‑centered care within the department, ensuring patients have a positive experience during the registration and admission process. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to keep them updated on industry trends and regulations. Ensure that the department complies with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS, and state specific guidelines. Monitor key performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly. Collaborate with other hospital departments, such as finance, admissions, and medical records, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient access and revenue cycle management. Prepare and submit reports on departmental performance, including key performance indicators, to the Senior Managers. Manage Timecards. Employee Management (hiring/discipline/evaluations). Scheduling the team. What You Will Need Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Experience: 3 Years Experience in patient access, registration, or related roles, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience. Experience in healthcare information systems and electronic health records (EHR) software.
