The facility operates a cardiothoracic surgery program seeking experienced physician associate coverage for a locum tenens assignment. The medical center maintains advanced surgical capabilities, including specialized Terumo and Hemopro vein harvesting systems to support complex cardiac procedures. The facility provides coverage across multiple service areas, including inpatient units, operating rooms, and emergency departments. Clinical resources and infrastructure are in place to support coordinated patient care throughout each assigned coverage period.

The assignment is located in New York, a state that encompasses a range of natural and recreational destinations. The region offers outdoor exploration, cultural activities, and year-round attractions for those on assignment. Clinicians will find opportunities for regional activities throughout the state.

The physician associate will provide cardiothoracic surgery support across inpatient units, operating rooms, and emergency departments on an on-site basis in New York. Primary responsibilities include first-assisting on cardiac surgery cases, performing endoscopic vein harvesting with Terumo and Hemopro systems, and conducting radial artery harvesting procedures. The clinician will work day and night shifts with call coverage on a 1:6 schedule, maintaining 30-minute recall availability for emergency cases. The position involves management of cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patients in collaboration with surgical teams and nursing staff.
