RN - PACU

Registered Nurse - Pre-Op and PACU

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shifts: 3x12-hour shifts from Friday to Sunday (18:00 - 06:30).

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Pre-Op and PACU for a combined unit role. The RN will primarily work in either the Pre-Operative or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, according to the assigned schedule. Responsibilities include providing exceptional patient care, conducting assessments, and managing post-operative recovery for a diverse patient population, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in pre-operative assessments and preparations.
• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitor patient vitals.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy.
• Consult and communicate effectively with the surgical team.
• Support patients and families with pre-operative education and post-operative recovery plans.
• Participate in call rotations as required.
• Float within surgical services as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in ER, ICU, or PACU.
• Active CA RN License.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required.
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred.
