Application Support

You’ll analyze, develop, implement, and support the systems behind our Interest Rate Derivatives (IRD) and Securitization business — including the interfaces to surrounding systems, the day-to-day needs of the desk users who rely on them, and every aspect of keeping those platforms running. You’ll work directly with Front, Middle, Back Office, and Risk teams, and partner closely with our development team in Paris. What you’ll do Provide application support and subject‑matter expertise for your assigned systems and any projects touching them. Cover after‑hours operations, including nightly batch processes and ad hoc tasks that run outside business hours. Build functional and technical solutions in response to user and management requests. Design and develop efficient applications targeted at specific user problems and workflows. Run feasibility studies and system designs, and recommend the right course of action. Support Front, Middle, Back Office, and Risk users throughout their daily activity. Contribute to overall architecture decisions — hardware, network, tooling, software. Support Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities. Coordinate and analyze requirements with the Paris‑based development team. Gather new requirements and follow up on special requests from management. Build strong relationships across the business (FO, MO/Risk, BO), manage third‑party relationships, and assist team members. What you’ll bring Hands‑on knowledge of Summit and Orchestrade . Strong SQL and Sybase (DBMS + stored procedures). Unix shell scripting and fluency with Unix tools (awk, sed). Programming in Perl, Python, and VBA . Advanced Microsoft Excel . Solid grasp of Fixed Income and FX products : CDs, CPs, bonds, repo, futures, interest rate swaps, FX spot/forwards/swaps, and derivatives more broadly. A working understanding of financial and electronic markets . Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Finance.
