POSITION OVERVIEW Packaging Technician Starting Pay: $26.80/hour Progressive pay increases 8-hour shifts Why Join Our Team At our Kansas City manufacturing site, we produce Bisquick and Gold Medal Flour while offering job growth opportunities across most departments. • 0.55/hour additional pay for 2nd shift & 3rd shift
• 29.14 per hour, after full completion of required trainings (1.5 years on average)

Up to 120 hours (15 days) vacation annually, everyone starts with 10 days 11 paid company holidays 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, life insurance Career growth and cross-training opportunities Your Work Schedule and Shift Information 8-hour shifts 1st shift: 7 am to 3 pm 2nd shift: 3 pm to 11 pm 3rd shift: 11 pm to 7 am Currently hiring for 2nd and/or 3rd shift Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed Plant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Be responsible for learning and operating all packaging lines Performing preventive and reactive maintenance activities within capabilities on packaging department equipment and assist maintenance as needed with higher level tasks, including work order creation Performing all necessary quality checks of the products produced in the packaging department including HACCP checks, seal tests, weight tests, code dating, metal detector, check weigher, in-line magnets and code dater checks Maintaining written documentation Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance Assist in training new employees MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED At least 2 years of machine operating experience Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required) Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Manufacturing or production experience At least 2 years of mechanical and/or technical experience in manufacturing or related industry preferred At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
