Customer Service Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking a Customer Service Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity in Lenexa, Kansas. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for a customer service professional who enjoys solving problems, coordinating across departments, and helping customers receive accurate, timely resolutions.

The Customer Service Coordinator will serve as a key point of contact for customers with product, order, delivery, and service-related concerns. This role works closely with warehouse, service, sales, operations, and order fulfillment teams to research issues, communicate updates, and ensure requests are completed properly.

Key Responsibilities

- Respond to customer questions, complaints, and service requests by phone, email, and other communication channels.
- Research and resolve issues involving damaged products, incorrect items, missing quantities, service needs, and order discrepancies.
- Coordinate with warehouse, service, sales, order fulfillment, and operations teams to determine next steps and complete resolutions.
- Process service requests, replacement products, parts, appointments, deliveries, and related follow-up actions.
- Document customer interactions, updates, action items, and resolutions accurately in internal systems.
- Manage multiple open requests while meeting expectations for accuracy, response time, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $50,000 to $55,000 annually.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday.
- Work arrangement: 100% on-site in Lenexa, Kansas.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Coordinate customer service requests from initial contact through final resolution.
- Research order, product, delivery, and service concerns to determine accurate solutions.
- Communicate with internal departments to support timely issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate documentation and customer records within internal systems.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least two years of customer service, customer support, service coordination, or general business experience preferred.
- Experience handling complex customer concerns in a high-volume phone and email environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to de-escalate frustrated customers while remaining calm, respectful, and solutions-focused.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone and email etiquette.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, and follow-through.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general workplace technology.
- Ability to learn customer relationship management, order management, and internal software systems.
- Dependable team player who can prioritize multiple requests and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associate or technical degree preferred.
- Experience with product orders, service requests, distribution, logistics, construction products, manufacturing, or warehouse environments is helpful.
- Experience working cross-functionally with warehouse, service, sales, operations, or fulfillment teams.
- Prior experience using CRM, order management, or service ticketing systems.
