Valet Attendant - Le Meridien Denver - (PM Shift) $18.81/HR + Tips

Job Details Compensation: Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. The hourly base pay range for this position is $18.81 per hour plus tips. Work Schedule: 3PM - 11PM / other shifts as needed. Benefits: Employees are eligible to enroll in accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, and telemedicine benefits. Employees can also enroll in the company's 401k retirement savings plan. Eligibility depends on job classification, length of employment, and hours worked. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for the above benefits. Summary The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. The Associate is also responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely, and for assisting guests with luggage. Descriptive Statement(s) – % of Time Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients. Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor. Uses guest last names during interactions. – 25% Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location. Practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette. Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks. – 10% Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously. Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed. Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests. – 20% Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries. Provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area. Delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested. Shuttles guests to approved places. – 10% Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival. Issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys. Consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey, and claim check receipt from all vehicles. Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed. – 35% Qualifications Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Required Licensure, Certification, etc.: Must hold a valid driver's license for the state of work, or within a commutable distance of the state Work Experience: One (1) month of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services Skills: Ability to read and write standard English language Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos Ability to write simple correspondence Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization Ability to add and subtract three‑digit numbers and perform basic arithmetic operations using units of American money Ability to understand 24‑hour and military time systems Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed Ability to operate a manual transmission (highly desirable) Perform parallel parking Scope Authority to Act: Job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures. Duties are performed with specific directions and work is checked or verified frequently. Decisions are made within operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect smooth and efficient operation. Budget Responsibility: Employee has control over available resources only. Working Conditions & Physical Demands Physical Requirements: Regularly talk or hear, sit or stand for extended periods, run, walk, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Lifting Requirements: Exert up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, or 20 pounds constantly. Working Environment: Majority of work will be performed outdoors for extended periods, including entire shift. Employees are subject to environmental conditions such as extreme heat and cold.
