As a manager they should be proactive in identifying and correcting all at-risk conditions and behaviors in their department. Exhibiting leadership and building trust and credibility with their direct reports is necessary to achieve department goals and objectives.The Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring sales orders paperwork is prepared by selecting lots and printing labels. The Manager is responsible for coordinating the logistics for domestic and international shipments where delivery terms are required. They are responsible for completing and organizing all shipping and receiving paperwork. This includes purchase order receipts, bill of ladings and any other paperwork required.Job DetailsRole Specific Management Responsibilities:Records purchase order receipt of incoming materials and equipmentPerformance reviews and goal setting for direct reportsMentors and coaches direct reportsDirectly involved in the hiring/onboarding of new logistics employees and administering performance improvement plans/discipline when necessaryRole Specific Responsibilities for Incoming Shipments:Verifies documents and recordsRecords purchase order receipt of incoming materials and equipmentManages the flow of truck drivers on site for inbound and outbound shipmentsInstructs and ensures all truck drivers comply with company safety regulationsWorks directly with Supply Chain to maximize OTTRRole Specific Responsibilities for Outbound Shipments:Creates delivery per sales orders.
