Support Student Health in a Meaningful Way

Gohanna Staffing Solutions is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Substitute School Nurse for a long-term assignment with one of our partner school districts in Vermont for the 2026/2027 school year.

This opportunity is ideal for a nurse who enjoys working with children and adolescents in an educational setting and values collaboration, flexibility, and making a direct impact on student wellbeing. In this role, you will help support the health and safety of students while contributing to a positive and supportive school environment.

This is a long-term substitute assignment running from August through October 2026, with potential opportunities for continued substitute assignments afterward based on your availability and interest.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and health services to students 
• Assess and respond to student illnesses, injuries, and health concerns 
• Support student wellness, health education, and preventative care initiatives 
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations within the school setting 
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff 
• Maintain accurate, confidential student health records 
• Apply clinical knowledge across pediatric, community, emergency, adult, and mental health nursing as appropriate within the school environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or eligibility to obtain Vermont licensure) 
• Eligibility for Vermont Educator License – School Nurse Endorsement (3-65) 
• Bachelor’s degree preferred 
• 1–3 years of nursing experience preferred 
• Previous experience in school nursing, pediatrics, public health, or youth-focused settings preferred 
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills 
• A flexible, student-centered, and collaborative approach
