Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across multiple schools in the district, located near scenic Harpers Ferry, WV! This full-time role requires 37.5 hours a week, providing comprehensive physical therapy services for K-12 students. You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and fellow therapists, making a tangible difference in students’ daily lives. Supervision of a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is a key responsibility, ensuring high-quality and consistent care for all assigned students.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in West Virginia
- Prior experience in pediatric, school, or healthcare settings
- Proven ability to supervise and mentor Physical Therapist Assistants
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements for school-based services
- Adaptability to travel between several schools within the district
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to supporting students’ educational and developmental goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on IEP goals
- Supervise PTA activities and ensure all delegated tasks meet regulatory standards
- Collaborate with special education staff, parents, and other service providers to foster student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute professional expertise
- Maintain accurate and timely records of services and student progress
